could just need a rebuild or there is a crack in the housing. You won't know until you tear into it.

I'm assuming a crack in the rotor housing would be easy to find?

Although I haven't rebuilt an engine, the info I have found on doing it tells me it is best to inspect everything very closely. It seems the slightest crack or part out of tolerance can be like flushing $ down the toilet.

Ok guys, thanks for all the information and I found the problem with this engine. I removed the front housing and found that the interior and exterior sealing rubbers are damaged. There are approximately a 1/4" space that did not have any seal at all on the internal side of the front rotor housing. No question, this is the source of the anti-freeze leak.

The good news is that the rotors, housings and apex seals are in perfect condition.

That'll save you some money. Your rebuild will cost very little, and what's more, you're doing it yourself.
