12a n/a power

looking to up the power for my 1982 fb on somewhat of a budget. Racing beat road race header or pacesetter? Switch to a holley or webber? and should I go ahead and tear her apart and bridgeport it? Also should i just do away with the n/a 12a carb setup and just invest in a 13b turbo swap? its a street car, but i dont really care about streetability or anything like that, it isnt a daily. Any suggestions or help is appreciated

buy a turbo and blow through the nikki. Cheap and fast.

what path you take depends on the HP amount you want, and how well mannered it needs to be, vs budget vs how much work you wanna do.

if you just want something more fun, the RB streetport system is great, pair it with a lighter flywheel, IMO steel feels like what should have come stock, and its really fun. hp increase is modest, but it feels great and it still drives like stock.

if you NEED 300hp, then you are either looking at a turbo, or a peripheral port. turbo could possibly pass smog, and can still run like stock. PP can actually be somewhat tame, but its pretty hardcore for the street.

RB street port exhaust
Better intake (fat or hogged out nikki preferred) but a weber downdraft would work as well
Improved ignition (DFIS of some sort)
Better fuel delivery
Electric Fan

This will get that 12A putting out approximately 155HP and will deliver about 135HP through the
wheels. Thats almost a 50% increase in power with bolt ons.
