12A Firing Order

I just bought a 1985 RX-7 GSL with a carburated 12A engine. I looked at the plug wires and i can tell from the distributor cap that it's firing top to bottom on one rotor and bottom to top on the other rotor. Could someone point me in the direction of how to hook these up in the right order? I'm not a mechanic, and I hardly know much about cars so a diagram would probably even be better, although I'm sure I can figure it out without one.

Sorry if this is posted somewhere else, I did a search here and on Google and didn't come up with anything.

From front to back on the bottom of the motor it goes L1 and L2. The top is T1 front and then T2 in back. Then match them up with the cap on the distributor.

It would look like this on the motor looking at it from the driver side fender:

T1 T2
L1 L2

The distributor on a rotary is a unique thing. It doesn't fire in the way you think it does. The leading plugs fire at 0* stock, and the trailing 20* later. The rear rotor fires 180* after the front.

Ah, so it's hooked up properly. Thank you for the information, I'm looking to learn a great deal in the next few months!

There should be markings on the cap, which will correspond with markings on the side of the engine right next to the spark plugs. Very simple as long as you use those markings...
