12A Engine Problem

12A Engine Problem
Need help with an engine problem. My 12A has 173,000 miles on it and was running fine until this morning. Cruising at 70 on freeway, car lost power all of sudden. Pulled over and idle was rough and not firing on both rotors. Managed to make it home with pedal to metal on freeway. Car starts but will not idle now. Only revs to 4000. Tried to change plugs and swap wires to see difference but no luck. There is spark from rotor cap to each wire. All OK there. Did not check spark to each plug. The front plugs looked normal. Rear plugs somewhat oily. Funny thing is, car runs the same when both rear plug wires are removed. Obvious rear rotor problem but what is it? Do i have a blown seal or maybe an ignition problem? Would it run differently if compression was be? Should I try to replace distributor cap and rotor? Any other troubleshooting tips? Please help.

You lost at least one seal on the rear rotor. That's a pretty good lifespan though.
If you really want to check it out take off the exhaust manifold and look at the tips.
Time to rebuild I'm afraid.
