12a custom dcoe injection progress
so after looking for months and contemplying buying an expensive dcoe injection throttle body, for my ida manifold i decided to make my own cheaper setup, because im not willing to pay 500$$ for the one i want, so heres my progress so far, i hope it give other people some ideas, im still working out some pieces of my setup but this is what ive got so far,
injecto bungs welded into my 12a manifold

for a throttle body my plan was to use iether 2 50 mm snowmobile throttle bodies, or what i have in the works is a stock dual 50 mm throttle body, from an 80's corvette, i bought it off ebay and planned to use it as is, but the one i got didnt have roller bearings and wasnt suitable for boost, so i may have to machine it out for that purpose but for n/a it would work great, ill keep you all posted on my progress, as i was thinking about making an adaptor to go from dcoe to the corvette tb. with injector bungs of course using mine as a prototype,

i'm glad you are trying this.. good to see innovation. i have been dabbing in the fuel injection territory a little as well and thought about doing something very similar to what you have going on there. buuuuuuuuuut....
i have a set of TII intake manifolds with throttle body. the UIM has two ports for injectors, so i was going to use the weld-on injector bungs as you have in those pictures but on the LIM. a couple people have stated my idle will be junk. well it already is so i dont give a flip. i do believe it will still serve it's purpose very very well. i could also still run staged injection from a haltech or ecu of my choice.
honestly the hardest part is making the adaptor to fit the TII manifolds to my 12a. buuuut, i have a local machine shop that might be willing to take on the task.
my other idea (which has actually already been done before) is to wait till i am in the rebuild process of my (now currently blown) 12a and just use the 13b center plate. therefore allowing me to run the primary injectors in the block. i would still need the TII manfiold adaptor, but again that isn't a big deal.
seeing as tomorrow is a day full of swapping in another good 12a, i shall have time to still enjoy my turbo FB as it was (more reliable this time due to FMOC being on and it having perfect compression to begin with) and tear down the one coming out and hopefully do that last idea stated

keep us up todate with how this goes bro!!!!

im going to run 2 more once i get it turbocharged, thats interesting about the 13b center iron, i would love to do that mod except does it have to be a gsl se or can it be any 13b, cause i think they moved an oil passage from 12a to 13b, cause if you could run a gsl se ceter iron, i think you can also use a 2nd gen oil pan or the center mounted engine brace, which would be great for people using the 2nd gen front subframe witha 12a motor,... a bit off topic, cant wait to get the fi finished and the car back on the road though, i plan on using megasquirt, and the stock ignition,

Did you buy those injector mounts or make them yourself? I'd hardly call them bungs since they are much more complete. What sort of provision for a fuel line do they have?

i bought the injector holders as i call them from the megasquirt site, they were pretty pricey at 50$$ a piece, at the top they have a threaded section for an fuel lines so it should look really good,
