I know pallet and all on my cosmo 13b-RE was 290 pounds... But if you ever picked up the cosmo twins in your hands youd see where the extra weight came from they are twice as heavy as a single...

I doubt the weight difference of a 13b or 12A will affect the handeling characteristics of your 7

You know the 13b is only 3/4" longer. Theys really no weight difference if you think of just the motor, the weight comes into play when you add all the bullcrap they put on there...

The weight difference between the 12a and 13b is relatively small, around the 20lb mark.

What really matters is the total weight. The offical data gives the 1981 Gs as 2345lb kerb weight, the 1984 GSL-SE as 2590 lb as the RX-7 changed from a sports car to a luxury cruiser. An increase of 10% must have some impact on handling unless there were changes in the suspension to compensate.
