sORRRY, the vulgarity, but i'm trying to change the oil on my 94" camaro, v6, 3.4 liter. If you've ever done it, you know what a pain it is to get the oil filter off. So I said, hey, i'll just run to the store and get a different oil filter wrench, it's only a 2.5 mile sprint to the store, almost a dead straight. I'll take the RX, and just run it out the back door. Lo and behold to my disdain, that the little B$T*H, would only do A BUCK, (100 mph, for you rookies) So now I still have a camaro up in the air, because the store didn't carry oil filter wrench's, but I have a slow *** RX. I'm a discace to the name, right now I probly couldn't even beat a... .... I dare say it....
mustang... .... I know,
mustang... .... I know,

yeah.... I don't doubt you couldn't beat a 5.0L in your stock RX-7, whether it be a GSL-se or not...
I think you people telling everyone you're beating 5.0L mustangs are actually racing 3.8L autos with the rear wing, side and rear skirts, and air dam from a 5.0 GT
I couldn't even come close to beating a 5L in my '79 GS, I couldn't imagine a stock GSL-SE beating one...
*edit*
Or maybe one of the '82 Beasts with 154 Horsepower

Is there any problem with power, and is 5,000 all the RPM's that it will go, my 2nd Gen with go off of the gauge before it'll stop. The only time that mine wouldn't rev was when the cats were clogged up.

Some Mustangs are fast...but up to a point where the average 5.0 is about as fast as my BMW truck. Once the Rx gets more power (and it doesn't need much), the lighter weight helps much more.
I remember when my friend had a ported '81 12a with a sidedraft and headers, he turned 13.9 at 101 and had a license plate frame saying "I eat IROCs and GTs"

O.k. yes I was talking about The 3.8 mustang auto. no, not the v8. And yes, Mustangs are slow. True, a mustank will, almost beat anything from light to light. That is true. But if you look at the grand scale of all cars. they will be at the bottom, of the list, pound for pound. Yeah, I can take a Mustang and invest 1oo grand into it and have a nine second street car, but what will happen it you put 100 grand into a Skyline, or a Supra, or Aston M. I rest my case.

Mike-p-28 If you don''t know why I need to go faster than 100. All I have to say is go radar somebody N.A.R.C cause that is who you would have to be, youre obviously on the wrong website.

Take a Third Gen, Turbo, and a Cobra, or Saleen, Sure, the Mustank will get it from the stop, or through the light, but what happens after the quater mile, or when you have to STOP, or TURN, where are the Mustanks' then, yeah, that's what I thought. Rotors = Piston decapitation.
