1 common Knowledge and 1 Electrical Question

Okay I will start with a simple Q first..

I have a 1980 SA, and I am wondering if the Brake Calipers are the same as the FB and if I can just swap them. (FROM an FB to an SA)

now for the stupid electrical question

My tach stopped working...
Using a test light I found that I do not have any power going to the (-) side of the Leading coil, {with the ignition on they should all get power.}

Now the same wire runs to the tach (YG) , and the fuel gauge, this is according the the wiring diagram.

what could be wrong? what could it be that am I not getting power to the One side of the coil?

Any and all help will be appreciated

80 calipers have course thread brake lines. 81+ calipers have fine thread brake lines. The two have the same mounting pattern to the caliper bracket and will bolt up.

For the other question all I have is a observation. Sure are allot of SAs loosing tach signal this month.
