You'd need to run under an 11.6 121mph 1/4. i'm not sure what kind of HP you're putting down but a 402hp FD runs about an 11.8-11.4 124-126mph depending on driver. FB's are usally lighter so if you hook i'm sure it would be close.

Dan, have you been to the dyno yet, weighed your widebody? What's the specs on the new R35? If you hit your goal of 450 hp, get the car to hook up and have a decent 60' time, you should have no problem breaking into the 11's. Btw, I'm sooo jealous of all your mods. You've done an outstanding job building the car. Glad I could be even just a small part of it.

I am hoping for 400-450 rwhp, but you never know until the numbers come in. I haven't been able to get the car dyno tuned yet, I have to drive about 13 hours to get it to a reputable rotary tuner who can tune a microtech. I was planning on going in a week or so here, but the week I booked off is the same week of the olypmics, and the tuner is just outside of Vancouver. I had to put it off until hopefully spring.
Thank you very much Scott! The fuel tank you helped me with saved alot of headache and is a far better idea than a fuel cell for a street car. Just a few finishing touches and hopefully it will be done.

Very very interesting, a slightly more aggressive rear end gear than me, slicks, I guess it might be up to how well my 315/35 drag radials hook. I'll be interested to see what my car weighs in at with all the added parts, though as well.

Dude, a stock FB would beat an R35 in the quarter-mile. The GT-R's tranny will shatter on launch; all you have to do is make the relaxed cruise to the end of the drag strip and victory is yours.
Seriously, though, if you can hook, I bet you'll take it.

I don't know. The torquey V6 and all wheel drive are going to be hard for you to beat. If you can get your widebody to hook up the tires you may have a chance, but that GTR is a stump puller....

My bet is on your 7 on the assumption you catch right off the line and don't lose traction at the start. GT-R's are cool and high tech, but for them to be seriously competitive, they need to be put on a diet. So assuming you've got more hp and weigh less, I think the only thing the R may have you beat in is traction; and iirc, aren't their gear ratios closer?
25 year old car FTW!

My guess is the R35's weight will counter the torque and AWD advantage. I'm assuming at that price tag it has some sort of computer controlled anti wheel slip system. The race will come down to the first 60' on your part. Go get him.

I sure hope I don't have traction issues, huge drag radials like that should hook pretty good. The AWD system on the GTR is pretty amazing it controls the car for a perfect launch basically everytime, basically the car drives itself fast it requires no talent to drive it.

FYI My Fb is constantly being beaten by an R35GT-R on the autoX but only by 2 seconds and it's being driven by a 9 time national champion and it wears 315mm slicks while i'm on puny 235's. Our little cars are serious competitors!

It takes a lot of motor to make up for an extra 1,000 Lbs. I don't think you'll have any problems, as long as you do everything right.
I'd love to meet up with one at an autocross! Heavy high horsepower cars are so much fun to play with in the right environment. lol.

Turbo FB vs R35
Just looking through older posts, based on what you have and 1klb lighter the FB should take it with .5 seconds or better.
What brand tires and ratio are you running-30's, 40's?
