Actually, he sent me a PM on Monday the 12th. I asked him where he rerouted the coolant hoses that go into the beehive on his 12a in his archived thread about installing an FC FMOC on a 1st gen 12a. I was pretty surprised since I sent him the message a couple of months ago.

Scott (Trochoid) still has his widebody. I work in St Joseph, MO where we lives and have seen it parked at his apartment along with his 2nd gen. We had a falling out after he stored all his stuff in my workshop for a year when he ran in to some financial problems. Situations like this never seem to end well.
He's a nice guy but money and health problems keep him down. I used to go over to his appartment and have some good talks before we parted ways. Maybe I'll extend an olive branch and see if we can be friends again.

While he did not maintain a perfect record with us, he was/is still a valued member. The mistakes he made, as far as I know he did his best to make up for them.
I've dealt with him in the past, always with great results. I will continue to consider him a member of the "family" whether he currently owns a rotary or not. And I certainly hope he is doing well...

His car was (and still might be) for sale. He had a little fender bender in a snow bank a couple of years ago and took out the front bumper. He has so much time and money in the car he wanted to fix it so it would bring top dollar. I don't know his situation now, but I'm sure he would sell it.

thanks for the info. And just like Ken, I do consider everyone here as my extended family although I'm always ******* around to keep my sanity. Cars and forum is my therapy since I have a very hectic job. yeah, I get worried sometimes when long-term members arent posting or MIA

He helped me a couple of times with some very good info .. I do believe he has changed his handle . I saw trochoid intermingled with another name . could have been someone else . Maybe he doesn't want to be bothered . Illness can be a terrible thing .I like him no matter what problems he might have with anyone . I named my computer after him .

After watching this site for a couple of years I've noticed a handful of members whose posts are always spot-on...Trochoid is one of those few. Anytime he weighed in, his answer were clear, concise, and rooted in experience rather than speculation.
Like DD, I seem to remember a post were he had said he was getting out of the game because of health and personal issues.
Until he returns.....Here's to ya
