And about that mercedes, I believe the sl55/ e55 amg could do 210 with out the speed limiter. my dad is upper management in benz and my brother is a dealer for benz so ill see.

120 MPH in the RX-7... Didn't have much more in it, and that's redlining in third and fourth, then flooring it in 5th. Slight downhill helped. It felt very light. Needs a spoiler and air dam. Stock Speedo.
118 MPH in my 1993 Civic LX Sedan... Felt decent, probably would have felt better without the power steering... Also redlined in 3rd and 4th, floored in 5th. Major downhill. Exact speed attained from police.
105 MPH in my 1985 Civic 4wd wagon... Two words... Wind noise... But I guess that's what you get when the areodynamics are only slightly better than a Volvo, or maybe a school bus. That's also high RPMs in 3rd and 4th, floored in 5th... No downhill. The weight made it feel decently stable actually. Stock Speedo.

A bit over 200km/h (124mph) in my V6 Chysler LeBaron until the speed limiter was hit.
I don't see how you could get 200km/h in a Windstar, maybe the '98s are different. I couldn't really get past 170km/h (106) in my moms '95, but I'll have to try it again sometime, lol.
Fastest I've been in a car was 250km/h (155mph) which was hit with ease in my friends chipped '91 BMW M5 with a full car (4 people).
My new SA22 should go pretty damn well, we'll find out how fast that goes soon enough.

626: 210km/h = 131mph
RX7 1st Gen: 220km/h (still more in it but speedo ends there, and too much traffic anyway)= 137mph
RX7 FD: 250km/h = 156mph
All legal; cause on German Autobahn.
The 1st gen has a 12A with Mikuni and RB exhaust, and some other things. 626 and FD were stock.
And for that Benz V12: forget it! All BMW and Mercedes Benz are limited on 250km/h. It is possible to "chip" the cars and delete the limiter, but that still will not give you 310km/h.

130mph in my 83 RX-7 with a slight down grade (scariest event in my life because as i was doing it I flew past a cop who, oddly enough, caught up to me, matched my speed *when i was going the speed limit*, then sped off )
160 in my brothers eagle talon and boy was that scary.

I had my 86 Mazda 323 SE 120mph speedo pegged for about 30 minutes between Chattanooga and Atlanta one trip. I was actually tailgated by a BMW- no other cars on the road (early afternoon on a weekday). I am going over 120, and this dude is tailgating me so close that I can see his cooling fan blowing slowly in the wind behind the rad, and he is arguing with his wife while slapping his kids in the backseat. Man, that suxed.
Oh, and that was like ten years ago, BTW. I have no desire to go 120mph anymore. Jeez, I was even drinking beer when I made that trip (had a six of tall boys in the car). Man was I stupid.

1991 Camaro 168mph clocked with K-55 Radar.
When I was a State Trooper in Colorado back in 1991 I was asigned a factory exp. 1991 Camaro for 1 year. During that time period I was to document every days events as to the handling, preformance, eca. eca. of the car.
This Camaro had many, many special parts factory installed and would absolutely hall ***!
I was involved in a case with a stolen Oldsmobile with the quad-4 engine which to my surprize really could haul the mail!
I was clocked on a stretch of Interstate Highway at 168 mph with K-55 Radar attempting to catch the Olds.
At that speed on the Interstate Highway you really have to pay attention to what is going on around you. Luckly this chase was at 2:30am and in a rural area.
The guy in the Oldsmobile could not out run me, but that little Quad-4 was giving me a run for the money.
Oh, buy the way that Camaro was miled out at around 95,000 miles and sold at auction for a "Very" large sum of money to a fellow in Califorina.
And, yes I did catch the driver of the stolen car and he was arrested. He told me that if he had had a larger head start I would of never caught him......'Right".
Thanks.

I know the car your talking about... about a year and a half ago, Chevy, GMC, tested the last production model Camaro at the track, as per showroom floor production. This beast from hell ran, and I kid you not, 9.--. in the 1/4 and the dudes in white coats turn around and ask us, "Is that considered fast?" I kid you not. Needless to say, they make a few cut backs...If you've got the loot, keep your ears open, it'll turn up sooner or later...
Me, 150mph, weekly routine, gotta stay sharp. Not any more, sold the car, 95" Camaro, handled like brick with wings...

I had my 1988 Buick LeSabre up to about 180-190km/h. Not sure, speedo stops at 140. Very unstable with the VERY loose suspension.
My dad had a 2001 Chrysler Intrepid with a 3.2L engine up to 200 km/h. That is with two people and a **** load of camping equipment.
That translates to about 115mph and 120mph respectively.
I don't know about the 7 yet, don't have it on the road.

ive gone 120ish in my 95 Honda Accord(not sure coz the speedo kept bouncing around that mark, couldnt go any faster). as for the 7, ive only gone about 90-100mph. again im not sure, because the speedo only reads 85(it is an 82 gs after all).
speaking of speedometers, can i switch mine to the gsl/gsl-se that has the faster reading? what else would i need to change besides the gauge?

I maxed out my last car (a Geo Storm), at 110MPH.
It took about 5 minutes to get there but it happened.
That thing was pretty powerful. I could brake a tire loose. Usually the tire wouldn't spin on pavement, but on gravel it worked.
Wait a minute! This is the first gen section! What are we saying? Most of these posts are about other cars. Now I've done it too.
Oh well. I like *****.
