Hahah, 140 ? That's the end of 3rd gear my friend. And cats !!!! We don't need no stinking cats. Not to mention SA's didn't come with cats stock, thermal reactor baby. But that's long gone too, glad we don't have emissions testing on the island I'd be screwed.

155 MPH on the baltimore outer loop... in a friends 88 Toyota Supra with JSPEC 7MGTE and a T03/T04 at 14 PSI... at 155 he dropped it back into second, and lifted the nose up (not off the ground...) enough to show that the car had at least 20/30 mph left to go... hehe... unfortunately a few days later the water pump failed and he spun a rod bearing... sigh

yeah 210MPH... sounds like BS to me too... the Jaguar XJ220 is the worlds fastest production car, rolling off the show room floor will go 220 MPH... I'm not saying it's impossible to tune the benz out to go 210, but I hope to god you're not doing that on a public road, that's stupid. No amount of high performance break equipment will stop you short of a half mile.

The only Benz I know of that might go that fast is the CLK-GTR, which was produced in very small quantities.

RICE RACING did 200mph in his 1st gen. so anything's possible.

Before anyone yells BS here are the data logs that prove it.

~175mph (speedo was showing higher, but this is the actual speed) on two bikes, 1999 kawasaki ZX9R and 2001 Yamaha R1. Done this many times, makes for interesting passing (buzzing as i call it). Lane split between my wife and another car at 150 once (she actually wasn't mad at me).

Bikes are very different, they are very stable, while cars start getting scary on the top end.

145 in 1989 Camaro rioc 350

143 in 1994 z28 (had more left)

I'm putting a lt1 (late model camaro V8) into an FB, i'm curious to see how stable it will be.

Bullsh*t. Front straight on Willow Springs is 1000' and unless you've got jet propulsion, you weren't hitting 130.

If you give me your axle ratio, 5th gear ratio, and your out side tire diameter, then i can tell you how fast that was. For the tire diameter, a sewing cloth tape measure works best.

Note to self: much work to be done to attain these speeds...

My Dream Rex: 1985 GSL-SE 12a (I like the carb'd engines, but I want the LSD from a GSL-SE)

Stret-port engine built from housings found here:
http://www.racingbeat.com/resultset....rtNumber=11050

With the Intake Kit found here:
http://www.racingbeat.com/resultset....rtNumber=18034

Exhaust found here:
http://www.racingbeat.com/resultset....rtNumber=16422

A hood scoop that actually worked
carbon fibre hood & fenders (front and back)
IoTus' rear lights
the fuel pump/regulator/guage setup paul yaw uses
the smoked glass moonroof
silver with the grey interior
and perhaps a custom-mounted turbo like moremazda did to his

And a picture of the look on all my friends' faces when my nice little purring RX-7 beats the living **** out of Jim's '84 CRX and Yvan's '96 Trans Am

Did I miss anything?
