I Cleaned the wheels on both cars using the ammonyc guy's third bucket system. The GSL-SE wheels are much easier to clean.
On the GSL-EV I placed the 12 volt vacuum pump and will mount it tomorrow and run the wires temporarily to test operation. I may need an additional vacuum reservoir. Not a critical thing as I have been driving it the last 4500 miles without any assist.

I test drove mine after replacing the clutch, clutch hydraulics, brake master and booster.
On the test drive out of nowhere came this high rpm misfire, so I chased that all day.
After going through most of the ignition system I was checking the operation of the vacuum advance by using a vacuum pump on the distributor vacuum diaphragm thingies. I found the problem when I put some vacuum on the advance, my timing light went dead.
Turned out the magnetic pickup in the distributor was bad so I sorta rebuilt an old distributor I had and now my car pulls harder than it has in a while. It must have been going bad little by little for a while now.
New found power is a good thing!!

Gave it a really good wash before it got too hot. Picked up the mounting hardware for the Vac pump to be used in the GSL-EV. It was so hot in the garage I just didn't feel like staying out there. Need to triple check the placement before I drill the hole.

As the GSL-EV has no manifold, it follows that it has no manifold vacuum and thus no brake assist. I finally got around to mounting the 12 volt vacuum pump. It is behind the right front headlight. See attached photo.

Replaced the broken radio antenna that made it look like an RC car with a retractable one!!
Tested the retractable one- it went up, and wouldn't go back down now it looks even more like an RC car.
On a better note - got my CO2 actuated 6ports and VDI valve running! Holy **** this car pulls hard, so far I've only taken it to 8k - the belts start squealing at that rpm.
The Megasquirt is awesome, I can program the valves to open at specific rpm AND fuel load, so I can still get good cruising mileage, then romp and slam me back in the seat.
On that note - road tripped 250 miles and averaged 24mpg - series 5 street ported 13b 6port - and I was stop and go for a good hour due to traffic / accidents!
So far I gotta say - 3" exhaust for the win (with the right fuel and spark config to dial it in) this car has SO much low end power it's crazy. I always have to smile when people claim that rotaries have no power down low. They definitely won't when you tune them not to!
I'm so happy I went with the megasquirt, this car drives SO smooth, it's unreal. The power band is amazing, it just wants to keep pulling, no matter where you pin it! So smooth!

Put new spark plugs in. So easy compared to modern cars! Replaced my cloudy, leaky right taillight with a nice one I got from another member. I didn't even realize there is a Water Bag behind the left taillight for the rear window washer LOL

I forgot to mention, once I got the right taillight off, I saw that whoever had replaced the power antenna with a non-power one had just left the old power antenna motor rattling around in the fender panel. Explains a mystery rattle I would hear once in awhile LOL.

Some conversions will idle the electric motor in order to drive all the things that need it like the power steering pump, the AC compressor, keep the juices flowing in the automatic transmission, I've even seen people keep the OEM alternator to keep the 12 V battery that drives the car systems charged. This is often the easiest way to do the conversion but probably not the most efficient.
But you are correct, I don't idle my motor so this would not work for me.

Changed my coolant, oil and oil filter, then took her for a nice hour long drive. Got some beeps from cars and a couple stares, man it felt good to drive her, its been almost 3 yrs since shes seen the road. Oh and she ran like a champ lol

A lot of diesels use mechanical pumps off the accesroy belt.
You've already got your solution but seems like a "reverse PTO" drive off of the transmission would be the way to go mechanicly. Because you don't need much vacuum assist when you're already stoped moving. But maybe I'm just making a problem with a REDICULOSLY simple solution (electric pump) WAY too over the top complex with a mech pump. But thats how my mind works.... hey I own rotary engines.

Managed to cram myself upside down under my steering wheel floorboard and saw that a a/c duct was only half way in. Cramed it back together now I have turbo a/c and a broke back. Did this before the sun came up as to avoid the heat and so no1 could see my as- in such a rediculas pose. Lol. DAMITMAN my back hurts.
