Sin City Rotary
Its used for sprinkler heads ... yes towel or fender cover but at the car is not painted I cut myself some slack ....the engine bay picture is not that of the blue SA in my current sig

Installed the rest of the painted pieces from the rear interior. Put the passenger seat back in. One of the seat bolts decided to start to strip when I was putting it back in. I pulled it out before it did and located another 8mm bolt of the correct length. Had to run a tap through the threads but all is well. Next is to paint some of the EV conversion stuff and put it back together and get the car back on the road. I still need to paint the door cards, horn button and the stick shift ****.

My first drive EVER in a first gen with AC. I was impressed It actually feels like a daily driver now. Just need my RB muffler. Stock muffler with an RB header and pre silencer sounds pretty bad. A guy at work actually commented and said he thought someone was weed eating nearby when I started it up.

the dual pipe tip fixed that, with less low frequency noises, and all the stickers, the muggles don't see it at all

Fun filled labor day.
Rb sway bar.
Cap/rotor/wires
Transmission fluid - royal purps!
That damn rb sway bar was a freakin hassle to install. They have the vaguest directions, only to compare to a Haynes repair manual. Rb had no mention of removing the tensions rods or brackets. They simply stated remove the end links, remove the clamps and uninstall sway bar. Reinstall with the reverse process. Ha! Yeah right!

So I decided to do something harmless. Just replace vacuum hoses. No bypassing, no terminating, just new where there was old. Dizzy vacuum... nice... Altitude Compensator BROKE! I was removing the hose from the carb and fwing! the hose broke off taking the nipple of the Altitude compensator off in one brittle surprise. Anyone know where to get a replacement? O'Reillys and Rock Auto seem not to have it.

So i have successfully started it up and set the idle, mapped basic fuel up to about 2500 rpm. Before mapping higher, i need to get the 6 ports and VDI hooked up, otherwise i'll be wasting time trying to tune.
Got the CO2 tank mounted into the driver's storage bin - it ain't goin nowhere. Where you goin? NOWEAH.
I haven't yet done the wire tuck, and the ECU harness is just a jumbly mess in the corner, but all the basic systems are in place. Still waiting on a full-swing throttle position sensor, then hook up the mechanical OMP to the throttle linkage once I know what sort of sensor/mount situation i'll be dealing with.
Hooked up all the vacuum systems, however I want to take a look with a vacuum gauge to see which ports pull the most, hook that up to MAP sensor and vacuum advance.
Relocated the coolant overflow in front of the radiator - noticed some black chunks in the coolant. NO BUENO! I ordered a fresh aluminum radiator off eBay today.
Ew! Look at that nasty radiator!
Still have yet to finalize my wire routing and tuck, will do that once the correct TPS is installed.

Your best bet is to remove, clean, and reglue the plastic nipple gently back in place.

are we talking about the thing that screws into the intake manifold under the carb? kind of under the mixture screw?
if yes, that is called 8761-13-770 and its available, not cheap, $44.50 list price

I'm evaluating that Smooth is rather happy without the altitude compensator with just a little tweek in timing and carb... Thanks for the part #... Think a Mazda dealer is the only source? For now I have plugged both ends of the line.

Hey smokey do you mind showing some pics of the Endlinks and swaybar?
I'd appreciate it.
Also what I did today;
Deburred and cleaned more bolts from the 88 6port I got for 100$ from the scrap yard here. 88k miles and only had a blown coolant seal. Apex/sides were in great shape.
Hoping to make this a super reliable and well built engine.

CO2 now installed and hooked up.
also messed with the stereo wiring today. i'm having a heck of a time figuring out how to mount the amplifier. there's plenty of room between the two storage bins, but how to mount the amp down solid, with the proper side up, with accessibility to tuning functionality..... not sure if thats gonna happen.

Clutch went out this morning less than 200 ft from my driveway.
Bled the hydraulics and found out there was a bunch of air in the line O.o
Filled with Dot 3 and working good now.
