Hey! I have a 1980 Anniversary Edition Rx7. It's a 5 spd, just got done repainting it. Pretty close to the stock color, but I need to finish the pinstriping. The vin # is SA22C 605262. Anyway here's pics of the outside new paint.

This is the best link to my 79 and the work ongoing with it . If you can put that in the top summary that would be better than the other two ( shows new E6 paint last year)

thanks for including me

Whoa I'm blown away that this got stickied!

Thanks akman360 for bringing my post back to life... I made it back in Feb 2008 and now Sept 2008 people realize it exists.

Hey Mods is there away we can edit the top page and add the new additions to the list?

what we can do if you would like is continue the list in a new post. i have started the 1988 10th Anniversary registry in the 2nd gen forum and the SA/FB registry in this section and we just copy and paste the current list in a new post and add the new VIN and details in that post.

thank Doc for making it a sticky. i suggested it to him and he found it in his good graces to sticky it. these are excellent threads for collectors and enthusiests like us.

Great another LE still on the road . 40,002 miles would be great if its true , but you might want to check ownership history if you can . With only 5 digits on the odometer its very likely been round the clock at least once .

I searched the previous owners of my 79 which was sold to me as 85K , but I confirmed it was actually 185K by talking to the first omer who sold many years ago at 115K.

Good luck with the car and any restoration you are doing . I just had mine repainted E6 and it looks great.

I like that idea... as long as it stays just pictures and people don't use up a lot of the space with "whoa nice car" "good find" and random comments.

Yeah there is a thread for all first gen RX-7s but this one is for the really rare limited edition ons.

But the flat black does look good. I'm going tobe doing a flat black metallic on my project car.

JB whats with the hate.....

I did not wreck or destroy any of these i found them in this condition.

I know that you are messing with me that is ok though, before I started recording the vins on the ones i saw i must have seen 30 or more that we will never be able to id.

on a seperate note i recently picked up a couple of little gems that will be exceptionally helpful I now have one NOS anniversary badges, and a set of NOS anniversary stripes granted they are supposed to be for a GLC but I measured them on 7 and they will fit.

I'm not hating on you ... I did find it funny that next to each of those cars was your name...
