And so i bid ye farewell.
Ladies and Gentlemen.. I have come here in regret as my duty to inform you that my 1979 Silver Mazda Rx-7 has ran out of registration for the last time. I will keep the car at my grandparents farm. And try to keep starting it atleast monthly and maybe go for a paddock bash from time to time if i get it off the blocks. I just couldn't keep spending money on her anymore. She runs great at the moment but the final straw was the final straw. (******* brake light.)
Unfortunately i have also left rotary world.
My new car is a 1990 Toyota Celica SX-R/GT-S. I will never forget the memorys of my car or the memorys of basically just reading and hardly posting on this forum. If only my car was not a west-east engine i probably couldnt help myself from lifting the engine from my old seven. I love her with all my heart and bit farewell... I will always keep her. I can't believe she will be on blocks for her 30th birthday.
I WILL NEVER EVER FORGET THE TIME I ACTUALLY GOT MY 29 YEAR OLD STOCK RX-7 OVER 200KM/H (125mph) EVER!
Oh god. 2.2Litre 4cylinder 118kw (159hp) I timed about 7-7.5 seconds to 100km/h (63mph)should be around 150-165kw (200-220hp) within a month.... Top speed 238km/h (147mph) stock racing clutch and sportish 5-speed gearbox.
But oh god. WHY WHY WHY aren't you rear wheel drive. Oneday i will have that 2002 Mazda RX-7... Oneday.
The new ride. Well atleast it has an uncany resemblence.
It's pretty clean huh?

Have fun with your new ride. Don't forget the 7. I can tell you from experience that my FB is alot more fun. Here is our other ride (Daughter and Wife share this one)
It is faded from sitting for about 2 years. I just rebuilt the engine a few months ago. We are going to attack it with a buffer soon.
Later,
Bill

Might as well post a pic of my former 01 Celica GTS. It was automatic but had the E-shift so
you just move the shift lever to the right and it goes into "M" manual mode with buttons.
Nice car but I replaced it with a Corvette because my legs where too long for it. Little cramped.
more than an FB on my right leg. I learned how to shift in my moms blue 74 Celica.
That was a cool little car too.

I had even kicked the idea around to get a used GT because it get's uber fuel economy. BTW Why do the Japanese insist on still putting the stupid break lever where my big Texas knees go? What's so hard to put it on the passenger side. Let them be uncomfortable they not paying the billz.

I would love to find the drive train out of the awd turbo though
It looks in the pics like the hood has been swapped, but it has not. I had the hood off for the whole time I was rebuilding the engine, and leaning over the fenders kind got rid of the faded paint. The roof and trunk lid match the hood as far as the faded paint goes.
As I said above, I still like my FB better. That 1.6 will rattle your teeth out at idle.
Later,
Bill

well i enjoy 450km to a tank not 250 ahahah. It's to keep me from spending money on parts. Not mods hahaha. The best part is. It nearly has the same RX-7 were wuring engine sound. A bit like a porsche but less grunty.

But like im not gonna do the 3S-GE conversion. im doing a 5S-GE.. so taking the head off the more powerful engine and having an even more powerful one cause we share the same block but the 5S is stroked. I don't really like turbos that much but i guess i probs will look into it. N/A kicks **** though. SAVE LOTS of Money and have a lil more power cause of the 200cc displacement advantage.
