Saw a 1st gen running at a Pinks "All Out" event this weekend
Saw a nice little 1st gen running at pinks all out in Ennis Texas this weekend. The guys were from the Dallas area. Does anyone know who they might be? They were speaking spanish and seemed to be real secretive about what they had.
One guy I talked to said it was an all motor car. Sounded like a bridgeport, they were playing with a laptop in it, prolly fuel injected, had a ford 9", rollcage, etc. Still seemed to be running a 5 speed.
Had a nice brap brap to it. He had a hard time getting a good burnout and did not seem to get a very good launch.
Ran mid 11's in the quarter. Looked like it had more in it.
Any info on these folks??

Did not get any pictures or video. They outlawed all cameras at this event.
Pinks all out was a cool event. Rich Christianson and his crew did a jam up job with this production.
They did not get picked to compete for the finals. Out of 450+ cars entered, they only picked 16 to compete for the cash and prizes.
The guy driving the car seemed new. He was taking orders from his crew being barked out. Took a long time to get a burnout done and it was a weak burnout at best. He kept trying to get the burnout going in 2nd gear or something instead of getting the tires going in first and then shifting to 2nd. Engine kept bogging.
Car was obnoxiously loud. Sounded like header only.
Car had interior completely gutted including dash. Car still looked good on the outside.
With a good driver, It looked like 10's were possible. He did seem to pull 120+ MPH in the quarter.
