He was at sevenstock last year (not this year) I was able to get him to autograph the orig door off the #77 Daytona Factory Car (I don't have the car just the door it is battle damaged) I was also able to see his shop in SC back in 2004 at that time he didn't have any of the old IMSA stuff we talked at length he was doing a full resto of what I believe was a Camel Lite's car he also had a 3 rotor third gen racer he was working on and if i remember correctly one of his 2nd gen 13g cars he was redoing. I was so overwhelmed with his and his wifes hospitality that I completely forgot to take any pictures.

yes they are indeed wery nice people if you need anything he will take the time to explain it and help you if he can. And as far as moving he just moved to the smaller building behind his original shop the one in the back yard since enterprise offered him quite a nice chunk of change to rent the building.

Sevenstock 11 was special for sure. Mazda brought in at least 30 VIPs from the past and present...this year was lean! Not even a banquet this year.
After that '08 banquet while standing around waiting my turn to shake a few hands, I noticed Amos Johnson take off his nametag sticker and unconciously start to fold it and roll it up, while BSing with us. I just asked him if I could have his nametag..."sure".
So I made it a point to get many autographed name tags of many of our heroes. Felt kinda clever for once
See if you recognize some of these guys...

food7373 thats pretty sick, haha. too bad im sooo far away from sevenstock.
food...I've been driving Mazdas since '73, been around racing since '60.
Thru the best of times and the worst of times. Many of us are stretched to the limit these days....
But the is NO reason not to make Sevenstock the first priority in any Rotary fan's life.
You'll never come close to the feeling of finally fulfilling that desire that is burning in you...the one you can't put your finger on.
SS will be "your answer"
We came close to not having it this year...and there is NOTHING out there ready to take its place.
I don't care what you say...there is NO EXCUSE to not make the supreme effort to get to SoCal next year.
I have a best bud in Vegas, always making excuses for skipping Sevenstock. So I flew him in Sat am, John Wayne Airport is 5 minutes away, he flew out by 6 pm and was back at work by 8 pm dealing Blackjack. I said if it wasn't everything I built it up to be that I'd pay his expenses...that turned out to be no problem. It cost maybe 150 bucks for the geatest show on earth. I now stay at the Double Tree next door just to mingle with more rotarheads late into the night, and the banquet, etc.
I've slept in my car many, many times going to far away races, chasing my heroes...you won't be sorry.
He immediately set out to find another RX7 again, found a one owner '83 S that will be a great project, got himself historic plates with no smog requirements...the sky's the limit.
Not a mark on it...here's the first time out

If there's that certain something missing in your life...you'll find it at Sevenstock.
