Talking My RX7 vs Mustang video.

Ive been wanting to test my car before i bridgeport it so this was actually the first time so took out my SA yesterday to the track to c my numbers after an exhaust overhaul and some tunning.

First pass launching at 5000rpm: 17.43
1st gear burnning tires the whole way
2nd ok
3rd gear miss.

second pass launching at 4300rpm: 15.60
1st gear burnning tires half the way
2nd gear ok
3rd gear ok

Third pass launching at 3200rpm: 14.32
1st gear ok
2nd ok
3rd ok

Bad thing was that my carb was drying to quik, its a edelbrock 600 so ill be changing that for a holley 600.

The good thing of this 3rd pass was that my wife recorded me wooping a mustang gt's *** so after the race the guy from the mustang was so mad that he left the track came back 30 mins later to race me again but this time with his daddys cobra, to bad the track was in it's lass pass.
Maybe next time Mustang.

Now heres the video little shaky, forgive the wife.Enjoy:

What are the specs on your car? Exhaust? Ignition? Weight reduction? Wheels and tires? 14.32 is pretty good if it's just bolts ons / exhaust/ high flow NA carb.

My edelbrock never ran out of fuel, you must have a float level or fuel pressure issue. I think you can get a high flow inlet for the carb.

holly crap man nice time !!!!! i definitely think you can get into the 13's, your time seems to get faster and faster. So you have a 2.25 straight through ehhh and no weight reduction, is the carb fully tuned? Im guessing not, definitely have alot of potential left , Im going with hyper2ks 3" - 4" cat back to a 3" exhaust setup. Nice vid man that supercharger does sound hella mean

Actually the carb was bought out the box and installed so i havent moded it at all, I already have the racing beat header 2.25 pipes straight through and cheap exhaust but im gonna wait till i rebuild the engine, heres my futre plan.

12A completly rebuild
Atkins cryogenic apex seals
Atkins Solid 3mm Corner Seal Set
Atkins side seal set
Atkins side spring set
Atkins viton oil o rings
Atkins rotor bearings
Atkins corner seal spring set
custom made headers
3 inch pipes straight through
Exhaust still debating (no RB)
eighter 600 or 650 holley carb
2 msd 6al
Bridgeport overlap escape
painted and ready to go.

depending on this:
Maybe turbo
Ford rear end
TII Trans.

All this will be performed by fernan starlet from PR stationed in Hood and me.

I couldnt go 3 straight through cause the RB header outlet is 2 so it wouldnt make any difference going from 2 to 3 so ill just wait till i do the bridge port to go 3, Carb not tuned at all.
