My $200 car.
Hi Everyone,
Thought I'd say hello after months of lurking. Without some of the info on this site, this car wouldn't be running as well as it does.
It all started when a good friend of mine decided to scrap an rx7 which sat in his backyard for a couple of years, and he never got around to it. I gave him 200 bucks, and a couple of days later, I was starting to realize what I was potentially getting into.
After spraying some rust-check into the spark plug holes, and turning the engine for a bit to get all the crap out, changing all the fluids, and a fresh battery, the car fired right up.
It obviously needed work, brakes, bushings, the oh so common rear well rust, as well as fixing all the crap that the previous 2 owners started but didnt finish. I knew that it was a project car for a long time so I was prepared for it.
After all the basics were figured out, new suspension was a priority. So here she is, after quite a bit of elbow grease.

not too bad. interior shots?? i would personally get rid of that bumper and get a stock one on there. next, it looks like you'll need a rub strip for the car. easy to install and cheap to buy from someone who's parting a car!

The suspension is all respeed, race coilover kit, rear coilover kit, illuminas, roll center spacers, camber plates. Definitely happy with the set-up. Although I was expecting more out of the tokicos.
The exhaust that came with the car was a 2.5" with a cherry bomb muffler in the back,so I welded a resonator in, and had an apexi muffler given to me, sounds much better now. Not as raspy.
The front bumper, I'm not happy with myself, one of the owners of this car butchered it, but I have a parts car lined up.
The interior, just picture this, with seats out of an mx3 and a battery in the back.
Why seats out of an mx3 you may ask? because I had a pair in great shape laying around, and it wasnt that much work to modify the stock slider to work.
Other then that, the car came with a rad out of an FC I believe, but it was never mounted right, so I had to remake the brackets to fit it, all the emissions is removed, solid engine mounts, there's gotta be more that I'm forgetting. Overall, I'm very happy with it so far.
