Imsa RX7 paint
After 3 years on this project its finally getting painted later this month. The rear quarters came out awesome, looks factory. They still need to pull glass and finish the front fenders and flairs
Going with a deep mercedes black on it. Should have it all complete for winter.

Love the look of that kit - and kudos on the installation lookes amazing. I have the same spoiler and used to have that air dam until a small accident. I did not go widebodly but had to modify it to fit a non-widebody. Hated to get rid of it.
@ rwatson5651 - it is the IMSA spoiler from Mazda; or at least that's where I got mine. Technically its the Mazda widebody IMSA kit and includes everything....except on how to keep the functioning gas cap lid........
Very nice install. Those fiberglass parts are a bit hard to work with to make it look so seamless. FWIW, I blended in my spoiler because I was having problems with water getting under it and rusting the metal beneath it.
Again - dnam nice looking install. Can't wait to see the paint.

Sorry for so many posts, but I don't think I can edit when I do a quick reply...
Is that the Mark I or Mark II kit? I can't tell if the rear fenders go into the door jamb or if you just did a perfect job of blending!! I'm guessing a Mark II.

Imsa body
Its actually a Kent body from the 80's. I believe Dave Kent was a chief designer for the racing development in the 70's and 80s
The flair does not go into the door, those are a bit wider than mine. I have 12 inch wide out back, i believe the other you can run 13 or 13.5
I have a friend who actually raced a car in 80's with a similiar body. Its amazing how much wind tunnel testing they put into the body kits back then. Well Mazda dominated GTU and was a force in GTO. Hard to steal that from Porsche but they did.
I get a kick of all the cheesy widebody's they stick on cars these days, complete junk. Ugly and not functional.
I love old Porsche widebodies, mazdas etc. from the IMSA days, it was a great time for racing

ljpviper,
Who installed the body kit? I have a new, never installed Mariah widebody kit I have had for over 5 years now,
and I've been looking for someone reliable with quality work in Miami, and those two things are hard to find together in a body shop down here..
By the looks of the background, looks like your near Lopez Racing?
Thanks,
~DF
