-Re-Speed rack and pinion setup .... Wow! I'd love one of those. You got some nice stuff there Sarge!

Interior restorations and pics?

You are showing the love, I've updated my list.

Hey, with all that good stuff, you've got the red leather interior, right?

Looking good guys, post up some more of your honey's in action, preferably recent pics and vids (last day or two) of the old girl doing her daily routine.

No red leather Ray, sorry. The interior is gray, and just as clean as the outside. I should take some pictures of it. I should also complete that form to get collectors plates too though...

Gray is nice too, most of my rotor head friends prefer it. Of course they don't have that rare red leather!

Post up the interior photos Sarge! That's one pretty unit you've got there. And a video maybe? Be nice to see that 12A in action.

Nice shots Tim, she sure is pretty. But you know, it's what's under the hood that counts. Got any of those?

I love the metallic theme of that car Tim. Got any motor bay shots?

Also, really really shitty video. I need to find something with a better mic, as it sounds so much throatier in person.

Sweet, I like those dual carbs, reminds me of the dual SU's I have on my MGB and Volvo 122, but much meaner. Are they hard to keep synchronized? (you had to tune the SU's with a stethoscope)

Crappy cell phone picture. Not going to list what I have done, that would take forever!
Although I did just get finished with rewiring/dewiring the whole engine bay. Clean as a whistle
but thanks to a previous battery, there is some rust.

I use a pair of vacuum gauges hooked to two vac nipples in the primary runners. What I did was drill two holes in the primary runners the same diameter as the inside of the stock vac hard line. Then I drilled the hole a few thou smaller than the outer diameter of the tube, a 1/4" deep. I then cut two inch long sections of the vac rack hard line and drifted them into the holes with a bit of red loctite. It is an art to get them synced, relying on hearing as much as the visual gauges.

Sounds like you need to post some detailed pictures of your Volvo and MGB!

Stu your FB looks luminous, I can't wait to see what you've done in person since you went into hibernation a year ago.

Sarge, my '67 Volvo 122 and '78 MGB were preinternet, no images, not even a decent Polaroid.

The red (later black) 122 4 dr was my daily from '76 - '88, then I drove the bright orange (black racing stripes, of course) MGB from '88 to 2001. That's when I discovered the 84/85 GSL (rediscovered really, I wanted an RX-7 when they came out in '79). I gave the MGB to a friend, that's the last time I needed to rebuild and tune the SU's.

I guess you could say I have long term serial relationships with cars.
