I Love my Car
She’s dirty.
She hasn’t had an oil change in 10,000 miles.
She keeps on going and going and she has a great voice.
She does what I ask her to do.

At 110 miles a day for the daily commute, the miles add up quickly. She's due for her spring oil change soon, but I need to get the house refinanced first.

Hey Sarge, your car looks just like mine! Except you have a few extra stickers and do-dads on there and she's a little less dirty. And you probably change the oil every 3000 miles.
Very nicely done. What color is that? I want to paint mine this summer and like the silver, but want to lighten it up just a bit. Yours looks just right.
Any other CURRENT photos, videos and stories about folks who love their cars? Damien, did you get that driveway drift on tape?

Hey, I like my rat's nest Sarge, it gives me the 23-24 mpg I need in a 110 mile a day daily commuter. I took the nest out for a couple of months a few summers ago and my mileage slipped to 17-18 mpg and the throttle progression wasn't as good.
Taking out the nest looked pretty and made things easy to work on, but all those vac solenoids do appear to help the Nikki work better, in my experience at least. And for the purist, a nest in good condition is a beautiful thing. (So is the stock blue air filter, for us purists).
But I admit Sarge, if you're allowing for mods, this is very nicely done:
K3 Sunbeam Silver you say? I thought that's what mine was too, but it really seems to be darker and grayer than that, doesn't have that pop you get with a real silver car. Maybe the paint is just getting old, we'll see with the new paint job this summer.
That 07 car does have some issues, good to hear you aren't the one who has to deal with them John.

True, I used to love the pure original engine bay as well. Then I got the webers! As for the vac solenoids, I meant that im using two of the stock solenoids plus the throttle position sensor rigged up to the webers to convert my manifold vacuum to port vacuum for the vac advance. I am pretty sure that I am the first to adapt the stock system like that.

OK, now I see them. Very cool, I little bit of the retro along with the modifications.
I also like that torque strut on the driver's side engine bay. You do have some unusual, but very pretty, mods under that hood Sarge.
Have you considered putting in a 2GDFI? In general I'm not in favor of changing anything stock, but that mod gives you direct fire, is inexpensive and easy to do and it simplifies the engine bay.
I hope you drive the car sometimes too!

The car is actually my daily driver, so don't worry Ray. I do have a scooter for short commutes though.
Little detail on the motor, I just built it a few months ago.
-Last two new 12A housings purchased from Mazda in North America
-1979 irons with zero wear
-84/85 rotating assembly
-FD oil pressure regulator and bypass spring
-FD corner seal springs
-All new hard and soft seals
-Mazda Competition oil baffle pan
-Banzai racing oil pan brace
-Custom marked timing pulley (marks every 5 degrees from 0-35)
-Rebuilt OMP
-Richard Sohn two-stroke oil injection adapter
-Racing Beat headers
-Rotary Engineering dual Weber 36DCD (rebuilt)
-Holley return style fuel regulator
-FC style oil cooler hoses
-FC front mount oil cooler
-FC alternator (Mazda reman)
-New Mazda waterpump/thermostat
-Racing Beat lightweight steel flywheel
-Stock vacuum advance system adapted for webers
-NGK Powerwire race cables
-MSD High Vibration Blaster Coils
-Magnetic oil drain plug, haha
Wow... I've never typed that list out before.... Don't even want to think about the list for suspension/brakes/transmission.

Now you're talking. I copied the list, will use on my current project, which will step in for the Silver One in 100,000 miles or so, when she decides she needs a break.
You forgot the torque stabilizer and chassis brace. Were those custom built add-ons?
Go ahead, show the rotary love Sarge. List the suspension/brakes/transmission stuff too!

Small story, I was hungover as a **** last sunday, it was nice out, and I was browsing this forum looking at other peoples nice pics. So I tried to do my own out on the driveway. Just with my digi camera dunno how to do any fancy stuff though haha! Anyway, got me off the desk and outside, so I love my car too!

Guess I'll get in on the action since I love my fb to death. Excuse the quality since this was taken with my cell phone, I'll have to get some better pics, as well as a pic of my other FB (the T2 powered one.)
Sgt Fox, what strut tower brace is that? Beautiful car btw!
