Frustrated Hunters or Honda Haters?

nice find doc!!! in the woods where we ride our four wheelers there are three cars much like that. one though is very interesting. i believe it to heve been stolen early in its life. its a complete ford maverick. early 70's, white with white interior. looks only to have been damaged by the tree it hit many years ago. since then its had the windows broken out of it and only a few bullit holes grace its chalky white body. next time i'm out i'll get a few pics.

Ridge runners are cool! The best thing you can do with a cheap, on it's last legs beater is to totally demolish it. I've bought a couple of cars for under $200 with the intention of repairing and reselling them, only to find out after the purchase there were nearly fatal flaws with the vehicles. So the skinny pedal was mashed on the way to the strip mines, searching for ramps and mudholes. Both those vehicles were torched via a rag in the filler neck before being hauled off for scrap. Cars don't really explode like they do in the movies, though. Best I've gotten was a loud "pop" out of one. Looks like somebody sure had a good time with that one...

This looks like one of those cars that you see for sale on the Honda forums!

Doc,
Is that near Bend/Sisters? Kind of looks like it from the background. I am a native Oregonian. Grew up near Medford and then lived in Corvallis for about 7 years (went to OSU). My wife and I went to the Sisters area quite a few times to climb South Sister and Middle Sister (those are mountains, not women, Wacky ). Currently, I am in Virginia. It is nice, but there is a lot more humidity and insects and stuff. I do miss Oregon, but there is no work in my field there.

Yep. There is another one out by Irish lake that has been there since last year on a really bad remote road.
Also another one a few miles from me off the main road that is upside down. And yet another one in a back field a few blocks from me that was abandoned years ago. It seems that the local police/Sherrifs give these things Zero priority. :-)

I was about to ask you to post pix of your Sisters-In-Law.
