Cool Experience!

In the thirty years I've had my RX7 It's took me roughly twenty-eight years to get to where I felt satisfied with it (thanks Scott at MTheroy.) Last year I participated in a local car show in a "non-judged" enthusiast class, and I spent the whole day talking to people who love RX7's, and many had great stories too. This year when registration for the car show opened I decided to register my car in a "judged" class, for anyone who has owned an RX7 for any length of time I have "my" opinion of what my car looks like, and represents. However, I've "never" had anyone give and "unbiased" opinion of what they thought of my car. As my time with this car will be coming to an end "sooner rather than later, I felt this was the year to find out, and like every other RX7 owner, I can talk about my car "all day long, so it makes for a fun day. Got staged early and had a great time talking almost non-stop, all day, to folks who stopped by my car to look, and chat. About 3:30 in the afternoon a guy comes by and tells me I have to move my car, and I'm thinking to myself wtf for, so I said why? He replied that I needed to follow him down to the staging area for the awards ceremony. I was stunned and it took me few moments for it to register when he said my car had been selected winner in it's class. While I was packing my stuff up I was remembering the thirty years of blood, sweat, busted knuckles, and don't forget $$$ along way, what an amazing journey it's been for me and this car. I was destined to get this particular car in 1994, and all I've tried to do since then is try to make improvements where needed, while keeping the look I fell in love with back in 1982. The first time I saw and RX7 It looked fast parked, and I thought some day I'm going to own one of them. And it came true in 1994, who says "dreams don't come true"?

Congratulations! Always great to receive validation for something you put so much effort and energy into. It's good to see Rx-7's getting some recognition too.

Congratulations!! It's well deserved, as your GSL-SE is an incredible car. I always enjoy seeing pictures of it and it's a car that any RX-7 enthusiast would be proud to own. We'll done!
