Celebrities and first gens (not a media "sighting" list)

Because why the hell not.

With the current story floating around with a young Dr. Dre owning a first gen 7 back in the 80s, got me thinking of the celebs that have been rumored to own a first gen. We are leaving Shawn Fanning out of this.

To start off we had "Pamela" Manntis' old GSLSE which legend had it that it belonged to pre fame Pamela Anderson.

Also Author George RR Martin is also in the rotary club as well.

I kinda expect this to have a short life, but what the hell. I'm posting it,

wow. i remember Manntis. i think i may have bought some stickers from him or something ....

didn't he work in or around the film industry? at any rate, i never knew that was why he called his car Pamela.

offhand, i can't think of any celebrities that i know/knew with an Rx-7. i know Jay Leno has a sweet Cosmo (the original) with a spicy 12A in it.

This one is kind of celerity adjacent, but Steve Rosen, who is a music journalist had an Rx7, apparently,
its mentioned in this article where he goes to NAMM with Eddie Van Halen

Tender Blue, so 84-85

also Alex Van Halen, apparently had an FD, but who cares about that

I’ll give a pass to a celebrity who owned a FD before 2001.

Michael Peņa drives a SA RX-7 in the movie A Million Miles Away. A biopic about Jose Hernandez and his path from a farm worker to becoming an engineer and an astronaut. (https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generati...shows-1163809/)

Terry Bradshaw had an SA, back in '79. This was mentioned in a '79 issue of Rotary Rocket.
