Mike, i'd love to have a set of the original RWL Bridgestone tires. i am going to conver tto RWL tires at the next tire change. perhaps a set of Goodyears.. not sure yet. i really like black and white pics. now that you mention it, th eshot i took does look strikingly familiar. guess my taste is as good as hers...or i had that shot buried in my mind and forgot it was even there.. i'll see about taking more tomorrow if the weather cooperates.

one last pic for the night. the engine that may go in my old sparkling black 85 GSL that i am re-aquiring:

Reacquiring the 85 GSL eh Dave? Good for IT.

Hey if you know of GoodYear making RWL tires in our sizes, please point me to them.
As the years progress one challenge we will face I'm afraid is finding good performing tires. The current offering of Raised White Letter Tires is very limited. I can't find any RWL in 185/70-13.

Here is a run down of the only RWL brands / models I believe are currently available: (All are 205/60/13)
Cooper Cobra Radial G/T
Futura GLS Super Sport
Mastercraft AVENGER GT
National XT Renegade
Delta Road Max

The Cooper Cobras and Futura Super Sports are the only models that look good. The other's are atrocious in my judgment.

I can't find any RWL tires in the original 185/70 size.

While I've never driven them, I think the Sumitomo HTR200's are probably the best performing everyday tires for our first gen RX-7s (not considering Toyos). Wish Sumitomo offered RWL.

Anyone know of other current choices in RWL tires I've missed?
