just ribbin' ya, Wacky. for what it's worth, i still listen to Roxette, and my 7 is not as gorgeous as your 3, so who really sucks?

Not a good time to be in SOCAL. Hurricane force Sant Ana's and wildfire's laying waste. I spent 19 of my 26 yr Navy career in CA. I "loved the place." Just could not afford to live/retire there. Did a 6 week road-trip to CA last October/06 and visited friends I have had for 20+ years. Did the coast from Santa Monica to Monterey and hit Lake Tahoe and the Central Valley too. Good times and good friends. Those folks from Santa Barbra to San Diego are in my thought's and prayer's.

Onlyonthurs, go away. Unless you're from CA or VA, go away. It seems these two states are always at war of who has the worst drivers. Actually, it's CA or MD. You drive as long as I have and play with the big rigs, you get to see ALL SORTS of asinine driving.
And, Wacky, why don't you make a group buy for us after rounding up some RX-3s. We could use some over here!

Even at this time with the 75 and earlier being emission testing exempt. They can still site you if the equipment that came with the car is missing.

this is going to be a great section!! and wacky, if you want to ship that rx-3 to ohio, we'll talk you know, to be honest, i've never seen one in person. i would guess (without any previous insight) that the majority of the earlier rx series were mainly sold on the west coast.

lol doc. true but most of Cali cops only look for modified newer cars. I have driven my RX-3 at **** places such as Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena with no issues. They just give me the looks (WTF is that POS? ). In fact, my nieghbors LAPD (the famous Rampart division) always give me props. Maybe they're nice to me since I have the LASD license plate holder.

I wouldn't ask Wacky too many questions. What with the years going by and the constant fumes from his RX-3, senility is probably kicking in. Soon, he'll be wanting to say he patrolled on Easter Island next.

Actually, if you look past my snarky comments, you'll notice that I'm secretly trying to convince Wacky to move to the East side and bring some RX-3's. Man, do I love the look of old school. Things have better curves than a C2 (1968 - 1982) Chevy Corvette.

Doc,
Are these new emissions laws in 2010 Cali specific? I live in Indiana, and right now we have NO testing at all. Hopefully they don't change everything up. The day my 83 GS passes an emissions test is the day that pigs fly...

Wow. Those are some beauties. Now, Wacky, is it the color of your car or the body style, because it looks like the front end of yours has a bit more of a muscular appearance.
EDIT: After looking at it closer, I realized that your chin spoiler is different than that red one, along with rolled fender flares (?) .

We're using different airdams. I painted my RX-3 with 85 RX-7 tender blue, e-bay special snow plow airdam (somewhat similar to RX-3's orig) and mid-80's VW cabriolet fender flares ($20 on sale at the junkyard = priceless). The red RX-SP (3-rotor) has a BMW air dam.

I grew up in the Hampton roads area, graduated High school there, but moved to the south to escape the winters, I like 1 month of winter, and no salting of the roads, it helps with the 22yr. old car

Nope. Supposed to be nation wide. Meaning all counties that curremtly do have any emission testing will go to testing.
