I am more than fair, and anyone that's ever done business with me knows I will go out of my way to make sure they are happy. But when you take my kindness and try to kick me in the *** and suck more money out of me, you'll find I'm not so quick to help you out. And why should I? You take advantage of my good nature by asking for more money and minor problems which should be overlooked, and noted as a mistake not on my end but by circumstances out of my control.
I don't know how many times I've bought crap and I wasn't satisfied, and then didn't get a cent back, and simply took it as a loss and moved on. I'm not saying that is the case here - but I was perfectly honest with the condition of the parts and offered a refund granted he wanted to send it all back, not bits and pieces, and try and nickel and dime me.
I've already wasted too much of time trying to fix something that shouldn't have even been dropped on my plate. I've gone out of my way to help and this is the nice, kind, response I get from fellow members of this 'community' - reason number 17832 why this forum has been steadily declining for the last year and half.
If anything needs to be said - it could be said via e-mail. I've got nothing else to say here.

Darren,
I've never dealt with you professionally, but I've spoken with you on occasion and you always seemed like a "good guy". Friends of mine have dealt with you and hold you in high regard and since I value their opinion I felt the same way. The same goes for "Goomba".
It seems like your past dealings are dictating the way you choose to address this situation...which isn't right. I've been burned a couple times in the past as well with receiving parts that were not as advertised. It happens to a LOT of us. I still never let that affect the way I deal with a different person/situation.
Based solely on the facts...goomba did nothing wrong here. He bought an item from you that you didn't personally know the "exact" condition of. You told him it was a perfectly good headlight assembly sans the headlight cover. You both resolved the headlight cover situation, but when he installed the lights another issue came forth. I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt Goomba is trying to scam you out of a few dollars. He simply wants what was agreed upon in the original transaction. He seems like he's been very patient and fair with you throughout this entire ordeal.
Everyone can understand that personal issues arise within everyone's life, but it's how you address those issues that reflects true character. I don't make judgements on people (especially those I know very little about), but in this case you're making yourself look bad over a few dollars at that. I think your credibility is worth more than that...I know mine is.
I hope you two can work this all out...

Rizwan

Also, if it's only $30 - why are you making such a big deal. I said I'd pay it, and I will. I have several personal things taking up all of my time and finances - I don't need this "do the right thing" and "you're ignoring me" crap - please note that I am busy and I will take care of what I had originally agreed upon. I've dealt with several persons in the past and they'll all speak for me that when i say I'll do it, then I will. Please have a bit more patience and I'll take care of you.

And what say you now members who said this guy was a good and reliable person? It's a shame what has happened here and over $30? Shows the true character of a person I suppose.
And the excuse, "I didn't really know what condition the lights were in" is not acceptable at all. He sold crap parts and is not not taking responsibility for the problem. Period.
A person is only as good as their last transaction.

At this point I think it's pretty obvious that he is not going to pay. It's too bad his rep has not taken a serious hit, judging from the number of transactions he still completes. The sad thing is, no one accused him of being a bad guy, or a liar, or trying to pass off bad parts. Just a case of a bad part. The whole thing is a matter of being a good businessman. Sometimes you just have to take the hit for small things out or your control. 30 bucks and happy customer. I hope a mod lets him know this is not acceptable somehow.

He should be banned from selling on this forum. It is never acceptable to do something like this to another member. Yes, he claims he didn't know the condition of the part but that is irrelevant. He sold a part that was not usable and he should take care of the problem. Period.
