Are you guys planning on meeting up with the guys from NY and the guys from NJ?

I think we are meeting on I95 McD's in Fairfield at 7am-8am. I know the gates open at 8am and its a nice ride to get there.So VP of VMRC txt me and we came up with a time of 7 am at McD's. I think there is a caravan stopping at the rest area in NJ between 8A and 8 southbound on NJP. From what I understand they plan to meet there at 10 am for us northerners to meet up with them. Is that the plan?

Google maps puts it 2 hours and 6 minutes from exit 22 rest stop in Fairfield to exit 8A rest stop on NJP.

Not sure how traffic is gunna be but I'm guessing if we want to meet up with them, We need to leave exit 22 rest stop in Fairfield by 7:45 the latest.

 

TIME CHANGE:WE ARE NOW MEETING AT 5AM AND LEAVING MCD'S AT 5:15 AM.
THE TIME CHANGE BECAUSE WE HEAR THAT LAST TIME THERE WAS A SHOW THEY CLOSE THE GATE AT 10AM THERE WAS NO MORE PARKING IT WAS PACKED.

IT A LONG DRIVE TO GET THERE AND THAT WILL SUCK IF YOU CAN'T PARK YOUR CAR IN THE SHOW.

 

yes guys nj central area is going to be at the rest stop between 8 and 8a by 10:15. goal is to have all northern caravans meet there as much as possible. then leave to atco which is about 50 min from rest stop.

ok guys if you are in the Newark, Elizabeth ,linden, rahway, Carteret, woodbridge, Edison, new brunswick and any local towns close to route 1. The meet spot will be at lowes new brunswick cinemas on rt1 south. It is just over the bridge on the right. The time will be for 9:30 am! We will depart at 10:00 am to the nj turnpike rest stop between exits 8 and 8a. to meet with the new york and northern area caravans. I feel this is a good and fair time for us to all meet up. And gives a good time for northern and new york caravans to meet with us. If everyone is good with this time start spreading the word!

New york areas if you feel this gives you enough time to meet with the central nj area on the nj turnpike then pass the word! This is posting in both threads in rx7 and rx8 forums! Any questions please feel free to pm me. Thanks john.

Ok...Now I'm confused. As far as I can tell, The NJ crew is still meeting at 8A NJP rest stop at 10am. If what you say is true, they will miss the gate closing. Does that mean they are out all together or just for the "infield" car show.

I think I understand, You want to arrive much earlier as to be able to display in the car show as apposed to parking in the outside lot and walking in...Yes,No?

I am driving down with my 73 Rx3 and entering it in the infield car show and if can't do that.I will pay to race it and park it inside.

 

I'm taking the green 626. Leaving at 5am. Going to make a few stops along the way, so I am just going to meet everyone down in NJ. I'll be wearing "There IS a replacement for displacement" shirt from shiftgear and a MazdaTrix hat is anyone wants to say hi.

Time change for central NJ meet to 9:00 am at Lowes New Brunswick cinema movie theater on rt 1 south.

This meet time is happening at 9:00 am now! Due to construction and possible traffic on the nj turnpike. So we can get to atco in a good time!

2wankel is not going he in Japan. I was at the shop to find out who goings we have aRx2,Rx3and 3Rx7s so far. I be in my blue Rx3 I told everybody to meet at McDs at 5am and we can leave at 5:30 and meet up with the guys in NY and NJ U can call me or anybody going from Ct if you are running late 203-650-4393 Charlie
