rx7 of the month?....week?
I think it would be cool and a better way to know our fellow members if there was a rx7 of the week. What do you guys think?

There have been threads like this in each of the generation sections from time to time. It's not a bad idea, but it's something that "other" forums are doing already.
We already have tons of threads where members are showing off their rides, there is little need for an actual site-wide competition. Not to mention there are literally thousands of possible competitors.
Your more than welcome to continue to garner support for such an idea, however it's not on the short list of things to accomplish to make the site better.
Again, it's not a bad idea, "we just have other fish to fry" at this time.

I proposed a perfect solution to Internet Brands over a year ago exactly for this. Here's how it would work.
- Add some functionality to the Garage (in addition to fixing bugs) so that people can nominate a users Garage for Car of the Month.
- Each 30 day period the 5 Garage entries receiving the most nominations would automatically be listed in a voting thread with links to each Garage.
- After a few days of voting the winner is named, and something like a "Car of the Month" link in the header would automatically be changed to link to the new winner
- A graphic would be automatically generated with something like a Medal that says "Car of the Month, Aug 2008" that would be placed in the users profile and in the postbit so it would be seen on every post. The medal would then link to their garage entry as well.
- There would also be another automatically updated page that's part of the Garage, it would list from the beginnning all Car of the Month winners in a table layout.
Simple, elegant, no effort required from Admins, and would get users to more actively update and use the Garage features. Needless to say that idea and all my others have been ignored.

Yea, I know the limitation is caring enough to dedicate any resources towards new development. Although they sure don't mind dedicating the time of their legal department.
