RX7 sleek headlight conversion

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-97...spagenameZWDVW

Are these headlights good quality? they're a good price compared to the HID headlights I was going to get from the RX7-store but they're almost too cheap. what are your thoughts on them?

Hi, I have these on my FD and they look good to me, they are also ok made and look good in the dark.

There is someone out there who does the same lights with projector lamps on the outside, although now I want them I can`t seem to find them, if you come across them, please let me know. Ineed either just the 2 projector lamps, or I may buy the full kit again and sell the ones off my car.

Cheers!

I don't suppose you can post any pics of those lights installed? Also, how was the installation? Was it really straightforward or not?

how much were the HID's on rx-7 store?

there is this guy i know from RSX forums that backs his kits with very good support.

retro-solutions.com is his site. the kit is called Digital HID. not too much over the price of what your looking at, and i think u'll like it since u were looking for an HID kit.

the bixenon kit works with the car with a little dremelling fo that fibery stuff that makes your hands itch when u work on it.

sorry my friend's z is in the way, but you can imagine how it looks. thats 6000k, which is pure white... i dont know why the camera made it look ricey blue. anyways it looks great.

Hi, pic of the dual halo lights in the car when I was also fitting the Apexi bumper.

By the way, if anyone knows where to get the projector lamps for this type of light, please let me know. I have seen them, just can`t find them now!!!

Also the fit was easy, no cutting of landing panels, etc.

Cheers.

Thanks a lot for the pics. Both my headlight covers are broken and one is being held on my duct tape. (I've got way too much duct tape and to many tie wraps holding my car together). At $65 each for headlight covers, plus whatever the cost would be to paint them, it would be about the same price as buying those ebay headlights. I like the way they look on your car. Mine is black, but it still should look OK.

I'm assuming that I could install the dual halo lights and then put back the flip-ups if I chose later on?

dhays, the halo headlights are just black abs plastic housings so you'd probably want to get them painted eventually anyways. Unless you don't mind that look.

your better off w/ going for this cheap brand, i know a guy who has them, and saw them in person, they fit good. i bought some evo-r's spend $500 and well.. fitment was ok, the pre-drilled holes suck, one of the projector headlights has built up condensation in it from the rain, which ment it wasnt sealed up all the way.. so, ebay lights or not, they cant be much different.

Yeah you can put the pop ups back on if you wish, as theres no cutting etc required to fit.

Don`t worry about peoples opinions on how they look, I`ve not had any negative comments, except on here, and it changes the look of the car, pop ups are dated anyway, and its a cheaper alternative to flush fit.

^ Yeah, there's a few kits out there that are, or close to flush anyways. Some have a little bulge to the cover so it doesn't completely follow the curve of the body. The Re-Amemiya kit's the best looking one though imo, just damn expensive. The Evo-R kit is pretty much just a replica of it and is a lot cheaper.
